Do you love hiking? The Garden is one of my favorite places to hike. Lovely views. A wide variety of trails - 15 miles worth. And no real extreme rise. Scroll down to see our trail map - it can be downloaded as a PDF.
The Perkins Garden Trail is the most popular trail in the Garden. It’s a big, wide sidewalk, 1.5 miles roundtrip. This is the place to take a leisurely stroll through the Garden and see the formations up close and personal. This path is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Access this trail from the North Main Parking lot and a few other smaller parking lots, including the handicapped lot.
The Chambers/Bretag/Palmer trail is a nice 3 mile trail that circles the park. It’s a moderate hike over rolling terrain. It can be accessed from the west side of the Perkins Garden Trail and from across the road from the North Main Parking Lot
Take the Scotsman/Buckskin Charlie Trail to hike a loop through the park. Wonderful views of North and South Gateway (Link) that you won’t get elsewhere. This trail is a bit more rocky and is covers about 2.5 miles. Access this trail from the Scotsman picnic area or the South Main Parking Lot
One of the hidden treasures in the park, Siamese Twins formation has its own trail. It’s an easy 1 mile loop. Access this trail from the Spring Canon Trailhead.
The Ridge Trail can be accessed from the South Garden Parking Lot. It’s a .5 mile loop that has some unique views.

Do you have a great story about the Garden. Maybe your first time here? Did you try to push over the Balanced Rock? Did your kids see a bear? What about selfies with a dinosaur? Or some nice photos?
