This formation cannot be seen from the road. But it’s well worth the effort to seek it out.
The natural window formed by these massive stones frames Pikes Peak almost as if it were planned that way. I don’t think it’s far-fetched to consider this a Wonder of the World.
Easy. From the 30th Street entrance, simply follow the one-way right turn into the heart of the park. You’ll pass the North Main Parking Lot and continue on to the fork in the road. Juniper Way continues on to the left but you’ll want to stay right on Garden Drive. This is a section of two-way traffic. You’ll pass Scotsman Picnic Area. And just past the next fork (where one way traffic begins again.)
A short bit later, you’ll want to turn right to the Spring Canyon Trailhead. Park in this parking lot and you can follow the Siamese Twins Trail either direction to get to this formation.
This trail does have a bit of elevation change and you may want to wear something more sturdy than sandals.
It’s a lovely little hike - one mile round the circle.
