White Rock

Ahhh, White Rock.  I was recently leading a Moonlight Walk in the Park (by the way, that is an amazing experience).  I pointed to this rock and asked, "Does anyone know the name of that white rock?"

No one did.  They all groaned when I told them...  White Rock.  Catchy name, huh?

White Rock is seen just after you start down the pink sidewalk from the North main parking lot.  It's on the left.

The theory is that as these slabs of sandstone were lying down, layered on top of each other, the iron from White Rock seeped out into North Gateway.  That was sorta before my time, so I can't say for sure.  And remember, I have only a thimble-full of geology knowledge.
